The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, which holds an unparalleled collection of Salvador Dalí works, announced today its exclusive collaboration with Grande Experiences, a world leader in the creation and display of multi-sensory, immersive experiences, to develop Dalí Alive: a large-scale, captivating experience celebrating the creative genius of one of the most influential and inventive artists of the modern era, Salvador Dalí.
From the creators of Van Gogh Alive – the most visited multi-sensory experience in the world – the immersive Dalí exhibit, Dalí Alive, will further redefine the way U.S. audiences connect with art and culture, engaging and inspiring guests to explore the life, art and triumphant accomplishments of Salvador Dalí. A powerful symphony of light and sound will transport visitors directly inside the surreal visions and landscapes synonymous with the artist.
“The Dalí’s mission is to preserve and share Salvador Dalí’s celebrated artistic legacy,” Dalí Museum Executive Director, Dr. Hank Hine, said. “Our partnership with Grande Experiences allows us to amplify his transformative story to a wider audience – those that can’t visit The Dalí in St. Petersburg will now have the opportunity to appreciate the legendary artist and his wide-ranging impact through this remarkable and theatrical digital display.”
Showcasing both Dalí’s challenges and triumphs, the breathtaking production of the immersive Dalí exhibit dynamically animates the works of the incomparable artist, providing visitors with the sensation of stepping into the life of Dalí himself and feeling the redemptive power of his imagination.
Dalí Alive explores how the artist continually reinvented himself – his place, his person, his family and his very human transience – to overcome obstacles. His personal and artistic moments of reinvention are shared through chronological segments highlighting his childhood in Spain, his introduction to surrealist circles in Paris, his refuge in America during WWII, his return to Spain and his enduring cultural impact still recognized today.
An announcement of the World Premiere of Dalí Alive will follow. For further information, visit www.DaliAlive.com.
